Terms of Service
1. General
By making a reservation through CarHireParos.gr, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before completing your booking.
2. Driver Requirements
- The minimum driver age is 21 years (or as required for the selected vehicle category).
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence for at least one (1) year.
- Non-EU licence holders may be required to present an International Driving Permit (IDP) together with their original licence.
- A valid passport or national ID may be requested upon vehicle collection.
3. Reservations
- Reservations are confirmed only after availability has been verified.
- Vehicle reservations are made by category, not by a specific make or model.
- If the reserved vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, a similar or higher category vehicle will be provided at no additional cost whenever possible.
4. Rental Period
- The minimum rental period is one (1) day.
- Extensions are subject to vehicle availability and must be approved before the original rental period expires.
- Late returns may result in additional charges.
5. Vehicle Collection & Return
Vehicles may be collected and returned at the agreed location and time.
The renter agrees to return the vehicle:
- In the same condition as received.
- With the same fuel level.
- Together with all supplied documents, keys and accessories.
Additional cleaning or repair costs may apply if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty or damaged.
6. Fuel Policy
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as delivered.
If the fuel level is lower upon return, the customer will be charged for the missing fuel together with any applicable service fee.
7. Insurance
Basic insurance is included according to Greek legislation.
Insurance does not cover damages resulting from:
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Reckless or dangerous driving.
- Driving by an unauthorized driver.
- Off-road driving.
- Loss of keys.
- Interior damages caused by negligence.
- Damage caused by misuse of the vehicle.
The renter may be responsible for any costs not covered by the insurance policy.
8. Accidents & Damage
In the event of an accident, theft or damage, the renter must:
- Notify our office immediately.
- Contact the local police when required.
- Complete any necessary accident documentation.
- Not admit liability to third parties without prior authorization.
Failure to follow these procedures may result in the renter becoming fully liable for all damages.
9. Traffic Violations
The renter is solely responsible for all traffic fines, parking tickets, toll violations and any administrative penalties incurred during the rental period.
10. Cancellation Policy
Reservations may be cancelled free of charge up to the cancellation deadline stated during booking.
Late cancellations or no-shows may be subject to cancellation charges.
Refunds, where applicable, will be processed using the original payment method.
11. Payment
We accept the payment methods displayed during the booking process.
A valid credit or debit card may be required for security purposes or damage deposit authorization where applicable.
12. Vehicle Usage
The vehicle may only be used:
- Within the areas approved by the rental agreement.
- By authorized drivers listed on the rental contract.
- For lawful purposes only.
The vehicle must not be used for:
- Racing or competitions.
- Driving instruction.
- Towing other vehicles.
- Transporting dangerous goods.
- Any illegal activity.
13. Liability
CarHireParos.gr shall not be liable for:
- Loss or damage to personal belongings left inside the vehicle.
- Delays caused by weather conditions, strikes, ferry schedules or force majeure.
- Any indirect or consequential damages arising from the rental.
14. Privacy
Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws, including the GDPR.
15. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Greece.
Any dispute arising from the rental agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Greek courts.
